Universities have long been regarded as centers of production of theoretical knowledge, in the sense of scientific knowledge. It is undoubtedly true that both the production of such knowledge and its teaching are the main responsibilities of the university. However, another fundamental duty of universities is to lead the way in putting this knowledge into practice. In this respect, universities are expected to respond to the needs of their society in many aspects such as social, cultural, political, economic, and environmental. But given the present reality, whether this knowledge touches or changes real life seems to be an important problem that needs to be focused on. This is because it is highly controversial to what extent the activities carried out in universities go beyond the academy and create any change in real life. Although countless books, articles and theses are written in universities today, it is a fact that a significant portion of the theoretical knowledge produced remains within the walls of these institutions. We intend to discuss this problem in all its aspects at an international conference in cooperation with Mtü Haridus Akadeemia Karjäär from Estonia and T-network education platform from Azerbaijan in Tallinn in March 2025. Experts from different universities and companies around the world will have the opportunity to share their ideas on the subject.
